Season to Taste's mission is to improve the world through food, meeting individuals where they are and guiding them to wherever they’d like to go with food. We do this through food education (cooking classes and instructional videos), community enrichment (newsletter, blog, food drives, and artist collaborations), and delivering prepared foods ranging from individual ingredients to complete meal options, all designed to enhance the cooking experience, not replace it. 

Season to Taste was started by Durham Chef John Eisensmith to help bridge the gap between how people cook, how they want to cook and ultimately, how they eat. Through 23+ years of professional experience, Culinary Institute of America training, and cooking at home for his family and friends, he’s realized that most people simply need the basics of how to cook and pair flavors, plus insights for looking at food like a chef, to open up their food and cooking to whatever they are excited about! You don’t need to know it all to make magic happen in the kitchen; you just need the basics and to show care with your food!

John and his “Onion Crew” are excited to share their prepared foods (Sauces, Spreads, Gourmet Soups, Fresh Handmade Pasta, Healthy Start Breakfast Cereal, and more), knowledge and excitement about food and cooking with you! Cooking demos and events will also be happening at the market whenever it’s safe! Can’t wait to see you on Saturday!
