Treehouse gardens is located near Hillsborough in Northern Orange county and is owned and operated by the Kramer family. Gourds are grown, dried and cleaned on-site, then crafted into birdhouses, bowls, vases and baskets using a variety of techniques and medium including leather dyes, pigment ink, acrylic paint, pine straw, handmade paper and fabric.
Treehouse gardens gourd art has been exhibited and sold at local farmers’ markets, art galleries, and at various art and crafts events such as Last Friday in Hillsborough and the NC Gourd Society show in Raleigh.
