Prepare for Mothers Day at the Eno River Farmers Market
Hillsborough, NC (April 25, 2010) – Mothers Day is fast approaching and the Eno River Farmers Market is ready to help you find everything you need to make Mom’s day really special.
The vendors plan to go all out with gorgeous cut flowers, decadent desserts, chocolate-covered strawberries, and fun, mom-dedicated crafts for kids.
Kids will be able to make Mothers Days cards at the market using pressed flowers supplied by the vendors. Debra Wuliger of Winking Moon Studios will lead the activity at her craft table.
Wuliger, who provides young market visitors with a craft activity every week, is excited to help them honor their mothers with their art works.
Cut flower vendor Marcia Graff of Cut and Carry bouquets always looks forward to Mothers Day. Flowers are a tradition for the holiday, and Graff promises not to disappoint this year.
Stephany Weston, the Queen of Tartes, suggests treating your mother to a sweet indulgence. She will be making cakes and pies featuring local ingredients and fresh eggs.
Whitted Bowers Farm will offer certified organic and biodynamic strawberries hand-dipped in dark chocolate by Matthew’s Chocolates.
Customers can also pick up recipes for fancy Mothers Day foods featuring seasonal ingredients and a celebratory flair. In addition, the market vendors will have their usual abundance of fresh, local vegetables, pasture-raised meats, crafts, and baked goods.
The Eno River Farmers Market offers farm-fresh, organic produce, cheese, meat, eggs, baked goods, prepared foods, and crafts from local growers and producers. It is open to vendors who reside and produce the items they sell within a 60-mile radius of Hillsborough, NC. Vendors must be the original producer of their items.
